In "The Center of the Universe" also known as Ashland, Virginia, is where you can find Terry Jennings and the Clearsky dogs.  Ashland is about 15 minutes North of Richmond, VA.

Clearsky is a small hobby kennel started by Terry's Grandmother and Mother. Initially Terry started her Sheltie breeding program under her Mom's and Grandmother's kennel prefix Jen-Ver.    Both of these ladies were breeders of Collies.  Growing up under the influence of these two afforded Terry the knowledge of not only beauty (which is a must), but also structure, outline and detail of head.  Knowledge that is very evident in her "eye" for a beautiful, yet sound dog.  The Clearsky dogs are sound in both body and mind, excelling in all venues of the show rings.

In 1971, Terry pointed her first homebred Sheltie, Jen-Ver's Fancy Pants, a blue bitch by Ch. Cherden Sock It to 'Em.  Horses and college would change the direction that Jen-Ver's Shelties would take and the breeding program was put on hold. However, in 1985 Terry would again return to a breeding program that had almost disappeared. She purchased a couple of promising puppies from Nancy Butterfield that would eventually would become Ch. B'field Cure for the Blues and Ch. B'field Friendly Persuasion. With Ch. B'Field Cure for the Blues producing Ch. B'Field Everready, a new generation and a new prefix, Clearsky, came into existence.  Evolving into what you see today.
